Position Title
Finance Manager
Description
The main purpose of this position is to provide financial reports and interpret financial information for the MGC management team while recommending further courses of action. The role also maintains the financial health of the organization by analyzing costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans. For accounting, the role is responsible for payment and purchasing as well as inventory and records and must ensure accurate monitoring and reporting the MIS. The Finance Manager will advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take, develop trends and projections for the firm’s finance. The role also manages the preparation and monitoring of the company’s budget and year-end closing. There is close liaison with Banks to manage transactions and overdrafts etc. as well as Internal, External and State auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained. The
Responsibilities
Description
Promote awareness regarding Quality and HSE among operational staff
Preparation of MIS and monthly report and to submit to CEO.
Preparation of Cash Flow and submit to CEO
Preparation of Quarterly and yearly Financial statements, Budget and submit to CEO
Plan, monitor and report cash flows to the CEO and the Board of Directors.
Establish a model / framework for the management of working capital and manage all factors that impact receivables and payables.
Recommend employee salary levels for approval by The CEO in accordance with the relevant financial policies.
Advocate methods for cost control, and promote the application of appropriate tools and techniques.
Complete tax assessments within the expected timescales
Timely payment of liabilities
Publish Financials and company information in accordance with Government Regulations
Ensure the accurate and timely accounting of all transactions in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Institute checks and controls within the business accounting system to minimize any risk from errors
Plan, monitor and report cash flows to the CEO and the Board of Directors.
Monitor collections and guide the sales team accordingly.
Establish a model / framework for management of working capital and manage all factors that impact receivables and payables.
Ensure timely salary disbursement and final settlements in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Assist The CEO in preparing the annual budget and capital expenditure proposals for the Board of Directors approval.
Participate and assist in preparing the Annual Forward Business plan, in collaboration with the management team.
Provide Finance inputs for project evaluation
Liaise with certification auditors, Internal auditors and other concerned parties in matters relating to the finance, accounting and information systems of MGC
Ensure the speedy closure of any issues highlighted in statutory and / or internal audits
Ensure the completion of statutory audits and declaration of financial results of MGC, within stipulated timescales
Co-ordinate with Internal/External Audits and State Audit
Assist the CEO in preparing the roadmap for Information technology deployment within MGC.
Ensure the effective inter-operability of information systems including hardware, software, network and applications
Ensure that information technology purchases are economical and are suitable to requirement
Effective communication within and outside the team
Create a supportive environment for the team members
Supervise and control the accountants for their day to day activities
Supervise and control the IT Engineers for day to day activities
Define knowledge/skillsets required
Conduct scheduled and adhoc team meetings.
Ensure tasks are understood by the team members and performed responsibly and diligently.
Prepare Policies and Procedures for Financial Management & Accounting and Information Technology for approval by the CEO and The Board of Directors.

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree
Chartered Accountant is preferable
Overall experience of 7+ years or more with 2 years in a supervisory/management role. Corporate as well as Audit experience
